General email settings you need to know

All email programs require the same general settings to allow your email account to work in them. The following descriptions of each setting will help you configure you BRETT-TEK emails - whether @iaccess.ca, @vcs-inet.net, or email from your hosted website – work in any email program.




Setting up your email

There are many different email programs you can use with your BRETT-TEK email accounts. Step-by-step instructions for some of the most popular ones are listed below.

Webmail

BRETT-TEK allows you to access your email account information using any Internet connection, anywhere in the world. When you log in to access your webmail, BRETT-TEK offers three different user interfaces: Horde, RoundCube, and SquirrelMail.



Slower Internet connections may prefer SquirrelMail or RoundCube as their interface is less demanding.

Horde is a more intense email interface with similar features to Outlook including Mail, News, Calendar, Notes, and Tasks.


You can access your Webmail page directly by entering http://www.WEBSITE.COM/webmail in any web browser's address bar, where WEBSITE.COM is whatever the ending of your email address is.

For example, support@brett-tek.com can access it’s Webmail by going to http://www.brett-tek.com/webmail.

Clients with @iaccess.ca or @vcs-inet.net accounts can quickly access a link to their webmail pages
here.





Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)


Q. How can I change my email password?

You can change your email password from within the webmail interface. Go to Webmail (@iaccess.ca | @vcs-inet.net) and login with your email address and current password. For customers whose password has been reset, enter the temporary password of “12345” (omitting quotation marks). Once in the Webmail main page click on “Change Password” from the row of buttons nearby bottom.

You can also always contact BRETT-TEK to have your password changed.
